Good evening wine friends,
Happy to meet you all (or, hey Jane)!
I sit here tonight sipping on a red that I have never before thought to drink, let alone visit at it's cellar door. Yes, I am currently drinking a Swan Valley red. And you know what? It's not that bad. Rather, it's freaking awesome. As some of you may be aware, the Swan Valley in Western Australia is not well known for it's red wine production; the reds tend to be muddy, and quite old and strangely woody. However, this lovely drop from Upper Reach is utterly gorgeous, and seriously worth the $20 price point (though the makers claim this little beauty is worth much more). It's an easy drinking red blend, that would go well with... itself. Go on, crack a bottle and enjoy your Thursday night.
Until tomorrow wine lovers!
xoxo
